Booklio ("we", "us") is a salon discovery and appointment-booking service. This policy explains what information we collect and how we use it.
Information we collect
- Phone number — to create your account and verify you via a one-time SMS code.
- Name — so salons know who is coming (optional).
- Location — your device location is used only while you use the app to show salons near you and provide directions. We do not track your location in the background.
- Bookings & activity — appointments, services, reviews, and loyalty points you create in the app.
- Saved addresses — addresses you choose to save for faster booking.
How we use it
- To let you book appointments and skip queues.
- To send booking confirmations and appointment reminders (push notifications).
- To show nearby salons and turn-by-turn directions.
- To operate loyalty rewards and let salons manage their queue.
Sharing
We share the minimum necessary booking details (your name, phone, and chosen services/time) with the salon you book. We use the following service providers strictly to operate the app:
- Google Firebase — phone-number verification and push notifications.
- Google Maps — maps, place search, and directions.
We do not sell your personal data to anyone.
Data retention & deletion
We keep your account and booking history while your account is active. To request deletion of your account and associated data, contact us at the email below and we will remove it within 30 days.
Security
Data is transmitted over encrypted HTTPS connections and access is protected by secure authentication tokens.
Children
Booklio is intended for users aged 16 and above.
